In this recording, dating from February 1961, David and Igor Oistrakh perform Vivaldi's Concerto Grosso in A minor, Op. 3, No. 8. David Oistrakh leads the Royal Philharmonic orchestra; the performance was recorded at Wembley Town Hall in London. The audio is from a Deutsche Grammophon sampler issued in 1965, entitled "Music in the European Tradition: An Introduction to our Classical Catalogue," catalogue number 104 251. (An image of the LP slipcase appears at 8:26.)

The track included in the sampler, in turn, was originally included on an LP manufactured as catalogue number SLPM 138 714, issued by Deutsche Grammophon in 1962. I included an image of the cover slipcase of that particular recording in this video (the image appears in full at 4:10).

Movement 1: Allegro
Movement 2: Larghetto e spirituoso (4:05)
Movement 3: Allegro (8:20)
